~Glenridding Dodd~
A featured fell is my way of studying each fell in turn and recording thoughts and observations.
Glenridding Dodd is unsurprisingly close to Glenridding. I will include better photographs when they become available.

The Dodd offers very fine views over Ullswater and the village of Glenridding. Climbing from Glenridding village is quite steep and the ascent amounts to 1000ft. Wainwright offer two slightly different ascent routes and they are on Sheffield Pike 4 in his Book One. I've used the one to the left of Blaes Crag, you need to wander behind some of the cottages.

The Summit

It's my job now to find the right angle and time of day to show Glenridding Dodd's better side - maybe from the lower slopes of Place Fell, early one morning. Place Fell is one of my afternoon fells, so I'll have to change my routine.
Where: Eastern Fells. Very close to Glenridding
Height: 1425ft (approx) I tend to take my heights from the Wainwright Books.
Suggested Route: The Ascent from Glenridding as described on AW Sheffield Pike 4.
My Frequency: Twice, once directly and once at the end of a long walk over the Helvellyn range.
Whilst You're There: How about dropping down and visiting Keldas on the other side of the village.
